Hard to believe 20 years have passed since Ad Age published that ceremonious statement. Though the bit about being the newest is clearly no longer true, the fact that the latter two descriptives are, speaks volumes. Our time-tested philosophy that a class is only as relevant as the professionals who teach it, has, and always will be, the basis for our well-earned reputation and for our’s and our students’ success.
At Adhouse we continue to believe there is no preset formula that can be used to create a curriculum that applies to all students. Course requirements for each individual are as diverse as individuals themselves. For this reason, we do not offer a predetermined multiple-course structure, but instead create “prescriptive programs” for our most ambitious students.
Our curriculum is designed to take students through the entire process of portfolio development through consecutive, combined and repeated coursework. And this includes sticking to what we do best — build brains, not just books; while leaving the rest (computer training, design/typography education) to the many world class institutions here in the great big apple, who, like us, do what they do best.
Through continuous evaluation of our students’ creative work, as well as their educational and professional experiences, Adhouse is able to create individualized programs that allow students who put in the time and effort necessary to progress rapidly toward their ultimate goal.
In addition we welcome students at any stage of their careers and skill development to take our classes “a la carte.”
Final class placement each term will be determined by Admissions Director and will be based primarily on students’ level of conceptual development, not necessarily their quantity of professional or academic experience. It is our primary goal to enroll students in the best possible course(s) to accelerate their learning process and bring their process and work to the next level.
